 How it Works

You call us. We connect you to a navigator -  an empathetic, knowledgeable guide - who has the experience and training to listen to you. They have access to a database of mental health and other human services. We listen to you with compassion, a sense of optimism, and solution-oriented thinking.

Services we connect you with may be local or virtual and encompass the broad scope of available resources. Based on the individual's immediate and long-term priorities, the ‘fit’ of programs will be determined with consideration of questions like:
- Is the resource affordable/accessible?

- What is required for this person to use this resource?
- Will this resource be supportive of the person's goals?

We focus on all eight dimensions of wellness: physical, intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, vocational, financial, and environmental. The aim is to help people strive for a life that feels most authentic to them, respecting that everyone has their priorities, ways, dreams, and ideas about living life fully.

We take a social determinants of health approach, focusing on building relationships and shrinking inequities in the system. There is no 'us' and 'them' – everyone will get first-rate service.

The GPS does not provide medical advice, only referrals and guidance. The Mental Health GPS services are HIPPA compliant in their privacy and confidentiality policies.

Give us a toll free call or text at 888-672-0365 and talk to a navigator on our hotline. Our service is free! We are nonprofit, independent, and confidential.
